How do we know what's real? - BBC REEL

Quantum physics tells us that atoms and subatomic particles behave in strange ways. It says that they can be in two places at once and that they can behave both like waves but also like particles.
So how can we truly know what reality is?
A film by Pierangelo Pirak, Melissa Hogenboom and Adam Becker

Simple interpretation to quantum physics is that it explains minute things that it helps us to reach at given scenario.

Maybe Many Worlds can be disproved, but how could it ever be proved? Aren't the post-split universes, by definition, unable to interact? Isn't that what the split _is?_

@Simon Gross Thanks for the reminder. How could there ever be any supporting evidence?

isnt the movie coherent or coherence went like this.... that movie when no one of my mates would watch incontrast to the rising movies of marvel avengers wc is really speacial btw....and because its more like a mind stirring themed movie and i did watch.... made me first curious when the movie indicated that there were so many possibilities... and the characters so themselves in different possibilities but it was dark cus they were slaying each version of themselves because when each version of themselves realized they were alot of them, each decided that only 1 version should arise into a new reality.... lol it was mind blowing actually and made me think for a while... like what if i saw my better self and just merge with that self like the higher self would take over like in the movie but symbolical you slay your other self so the better one would live out... not really slay but outlive.... actually i feel like i am a differnet person now.... dont we all have that realisation that we change? maybe our otherselves have taken over.... for the better

Everything is real and unreal at the same time with respect to Quantum, deep down the rabbit hole there's so much to explain but we do have one answer that's that we ATleast know what's it and where's it ,how will be answered only if you're a believer of ONE GOD ALLAH.

Well following the logic in the video, if atoms/subatomic particles can be in two places at once, and observation collapses them to one path during the double slit experiment, then that means us observing the macro world collapses all objects we observe to take one path. That means the parts of the universe that we are not observing with satellites at this time - exist in a super position. That could mean black holes exist in a super position. I wonder if doing a double slit experiment near a black hole could effect the way electrons travel when not observed. Damn cat p!$$ always get me philosophical and sh!t.

@Era Tera unhinged response LMAO how else am I supposed to interpret that when you start talking about satellites looking out at things

Observation isn't about us looking at or seeing things, it's the process of interacting with something (to observe it) that causes disruptions. It's like how bouncing a ray of light off an object transfers energy to the object, but you need the ray of light to see the object. If you don't 'interact' with something, you can never get any information from it and thus aren't 'observing' it at all.

Of course it could also mean black holes may be the only objects that do not exist in a super position ... and may exist as a kind of error correctors for loose realities.

The Islamic world of the past was the leader in scientific knowledge, that’s why we have ‘algorithm’, ‘algebra’ and not just ‘al-quran’. Then one Iman felt the increasing knowledge actually threatened to erode Muslims’ faith and decreed scientific pursue as ‘un-Islamic’. The problem is secular knowledge and religious belief can co-exist and need not compete with one another. They are totally different - one is blind faith and the other evidence-based belief.
